After waiting for months, Google has finally unveiled the latest Android 9 Pie and started rolling out in Essential Phones and Pixel devices on the last Monday itself. Google will soon roll out updates for its Android Beta program smartphones as well as Android One smartphones. Wondering about which Motorola smartphone will get Android Pie update? We compiled a list of all the Moto smartphones and provided an estimated date when the users could expect to get Motorola Android Pie update for their respective smartphones while those who aren’t eligible will have to stay put with their own supported Android versions.
What’s on Android 9.0 Pie?
Finally, Google started rolling the next major version of Android for the supported Google Pixel device. After the Android 8.0 Oreo, this is the 9th iteration from Google. Android 9.0 Pie is available for Pixel and other beta supported devices. With Android Pie, Google has revamped many UI changes which include the notification panel, Settings, Quick Toggles and more. The main highlighted features of Android Pie is notification panel, indoor WiFi positioning, support for iPhone X-style notches, Material Design 2, Dark Mode, Enhanced Auto-fill, Dual Camera API, Neural network API implementation and many more.

New Notification Panel: With Android P, Google has completely changed the interface on the notification panel. The quick toggle button now resides inside the dark circle while date, time and carrier name have been removed. With the new notification, Google will also let you select the reply from Google’s machine learning-powered Smart Replies, which scans your messages and will suggest custom replies for you.
iPhone X Like Notch Support: With phone screens getting bigger and bigger and bezels getting slimmer and slimmer, the smartphone manufacturers now have no room for camera, and earpieces> If you like it or not, Google has introduced Notch supports in Android P for developers to test how their app will behave on devices with notches.
Multi-camera API: Google finally introducing the Multi-Camera API which enables developers to “create innovative features not possible with just a single camera.” Also, this feature allows every app to request multi-camera instead of the single camera.
WiFi Round-Trip-Time (RTT): This feature allows apps to receive indoor positioning data at an accuracy of 1-2 meters of your position.
New UI for settings/quick settings: Google once again revamped the settings menu and quick settings after the Android Oreo. With the new settings UI, Google introducing new icons for each settings menu.
Power Saving: In Android Nougat, Google introduced the Doze mode which enables more battery backup while your phone is not in use. With Android P, Google has worked hard to bring the more advanced doze mode with App Standby, and Background Limits to further improve battery life.
Enhanced Auto-fill: Auto-Fill one of the best features which will save all your username and password. Google rolled this feature in Android Oreo and now they have improvised it with Android P.

The Motorola One is one of the latest offerings from the Motorola for its Android Devices. The Motorola One comes with a 5.9 inch Full HD Display. Under the hood, the Motorola One is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chip along with 4 GB of RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. These specifications are quite decent. Motorola One Power
The Motorola One Power is another great Android Device by Motorola. The device has a 6.2 inch Full HD Display which looks quite decent. Talking about the internals, the Motorola One Power is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chip along with 4 GB of RAM and Adreno 509 GPU. That being said, the device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and is much likely to be updated to the Android 9 Pie.
Moto Z3 Android Pie Update
Launched this August, Moto Z3 comes preloaded with Android 8.1 Oreo that can be upgraded to Android 9 Pie. the soak test for the smartphone will begin soon and it will be the first smartphone from Moto to get Android Pie update.
Moto Z3 Play Android Pie Update
Released last month, Moto Z3 Play runs on Android 8.1 Oreo that can be upgraded to Android 9 Pie. It is a gaming variant of Moto Z3 also launched this year and both the device are set to go to soak test for Android Pie soon. Estimated Date: Q4 2018
Moto Z Android Pie Update
Launched in 2016, Moto Z is upgradable to Android 8.0.1 Oreo after getting a boost from Marshmallow and Nougat. It is scheduled to receive an Android 9 Pie update soon, however, the date isn’t announced as of now. Estimated Date: Yet to be announced.
Moto Z2 Force Android Pie Update

Moto E5 Plus Android Pie Update
The E5 series of smartphones was launched this year in April 2018 running on Android 8.0 Oreo. Moto M runs on a low-quality and inefficient Mediatek Helio P10/P15 processor and it was rolled out in November 2016 as a budget smartphone. Moto E4 Plus Android Pie Update
As said in a statement by Motorola, smartphones belonging to E series will not receive any further updates. Similarly, Moto E4 Plus is a budget smartphone with decent MediaTek quad-core 1.3GHz processor. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 and will not receive Android Oreo as well as Android Pie update too.
