Xiaomi unleashes it’s new MIUI 12 in China barely a day ago. It includes revamped animations, a minimalistic UI and live wallpapers to name a few. Turns out Xiaomi has already confirmed working on MIUI 13 software on its Chinese MI Community.
Yes, you heard it right. The MIUI Research Team confirmed that it has already started working on MIUI 13. They have asked fans to join the survey to determine the design aspect of the upcoming software. The participants will have to answer a few questions for research purposes.
Note that we don’t know anything about MIUI 13 as it is still in the very early stage of development. Xiaomi has just started closed beta testing for its MIUI 12. The first batch of upgrades for selected devices are expected to commence only in June 2020. It is nothing new for Xiaomi to confirm working on a new software way ahead of its time. Last year, Xiaomi released MIUI 11 and soon confirmed it was working on MIUI 12.
Talking about MIUI 12, it brings a lot on the tab such as Mast System that prevents applications from using sensitive information like calendar, calls logs, IMEI, etc. The Barbed Wire function grants permissions to any app for a specific time only. MIUI 12 arrives with strengthened privacy features along with Dark Mode 2.0 and a simple, artistic, and minimalistic user interface that makes it a must-try.
A list of devices that are included in the first batch of MIUI 12 includes Redmi K20/K20 Pro, Redmi K30/K30 Pro, Mi 10/Pro/Pro 5G, Mi 9 among a few others.
