Update as of August 26: A new feature has been spotted on MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition wherein the Control Center has been tweaked a bit allowing users to tap on the media player notification to expand it. This gives a pop-up menu allowing users to control volume and track durations amorng others without going into the music’ app.

Update as of August 12: Xiaomi announced MIUI 12.5 on August 10 that has been said to have a performance-oriented update and it will start rolling out on August 13 in China on premium devices. Here’s the list.

Update as of August 11: Based on the latest update, the MIUI 13 has been postponed towards the end of this year. Followed by the news, an enhanced version of MIUI 12.5 is currently in the works that will be released soon. Aptly named MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition, the version will arrive on flagship Xiaomi devices followed by its general rollout. 

The MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition offers a plethora of upgrades including Smart Balance which is a core system improvement that allows the smartphone to make the best use of flagship-grade hardware specifications. Atomized Memory will make the RAM usage efficient thanks to the ultra fine memory management mechanism in the works. The MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition will have a set of focused algorithms that will allocate resources to the systems based on their requirements dynamically.

Apart from that, the upcoming version will bring a new sensitive memory management mechanism called liquid storage that will make systems more responsive. Finally, the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition will have a better performance in general.

The 5G variant of Mi 11 Lite picks up the Android 11-backed MIUI 12 skin on top of it which means it will soon get MIUI 12.5 and Android 12 later this year although the timeline is not confirmed.

Poco X3 Pro

Xiaomi’s Poco X3 Pro is now official with Android 11-backed MIUI 12 skin on top of it with a Poco Launcher on-board. Being a flagship device, X3 Pro is destined to get several versions of MIUI and Android OS upgrades on the way.

Update as of April 1: The Xiaomi Mi 10S in China is now intercepting a development version 21.3.31 over MIUI 12.5 in China. The update brings multiple optimizations and improvements on top of it and will be served to early adopters in the country. More information is available here.

Update as of July 28: Poco X3 (/NFC) is on MIUI V12.5 on the Global variant while the Indian, Turkish, Indonesia, Russian, and European variant are on MIUI 12. Download the latest firmware here.

Update as of July 29: As per the latest information, Mi 10i is picking up the latest MIUI 12.5.1.0.RJSINCM at the time of writing this. 

Update as of November 12: According to a user in India who happens to be a pilot User in the country, he has received MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition via OTA on his Mi 10i. This means other users in the country will commence receiving the update as well.

Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite 5G

Update as of July 29: When it comes to MIUI 12.5, it has reached the Mi 10T Lite European variant and Taiwanese variant, whereas the Global variant is yet to get the upgrade. Download the latest firmware here.

Update as of August 6: According to a popular Telegram handle that deals with Xiaomi updates, the global Redmi Note 9 users are now getting MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 as a part of the Pilot Testers program. Note that it would still take some time to intercept on your device even if you are a Pilot Tester. Beta and stable updates will be followed accordingly.

Update as of August 12: Based on the latest update, the REdmi Note 9 is picking up MIUI V12.5.1.0.RJOIDXM which is a stable version based on Android 11 at the time of writing this.

Update as of October 09: Xiaomi has released the MIUI 12 build bearing version number V12.0.2.0.QEJMIXM. It is a re-released update upon V12.0.1.0 that was released earlier. It is a global update limited to those running on MIUI 12 build. 

Update as of October 27: At this moment, the MIUI 12 is available on Poco F1 via fastboot and recovery mode bearing version number 12.0.2.0.QEJMIXM that you can download here (recovery) and here (fastboot). 

Update as of December 22: The MIUI 12.5 is incoming and it will arrive sometime in February according to a previous report. Talking about the devices eligible for MIUI 12.5, a Xiaomi moderator on Mi Community said that the Poco F1 may get MIUI 12 update. Note that the moderator didn’t confirm MIUI 12.5 reception on Poco F1 but he is rather optimistic that the 12.5 update will arrive on Poco F1 when a user asked about the same. [Source]

Update as of August 8: Mi Mix 3 5G is reportedly intercepting the MIUI 12 update based on Android 9.0. The phone is getting MIUI 12.0.1.0.QEECNXM weighing at 824MB and it is rolling out via OTA. This also hints that the global and other variants will get the update soon.

Update as of September 04: The MIUI 12 update bearing version number V12.0.1.0.PEMEUXM is now arriving on the European variant of Mi Mix 3 5G from Xiaomi. The update is rolling out via OTA or check out the MIUI 12 Europe ROM section above (in the tabular section) to find the link to download the firmware. 

Update as of September 22: The Mi Mix 3 5G is now picking up MIUI 12 update on its global variants. The new update brings version number V12.0.1.0.PEMMIXM on-board releasing via OTA.

Update as of February 04: A latest update coming from a reputable moderator on Mi Community about Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G receiving MIUI 12.5 has left users disappointed. According to the comment, the MIUI 12.5 update on the device is highly unlikely as the device might never see it. Note that although this isn’t an official confirmation, the mod has a reputation that precedes him which means it is likely true. But there are several pointers that either work in favor and against MIX 3 5G getting MIUI 12.5 upgraded such as the fact that the device is still running on Android Pie and it hasn’t received any Android update since 2019. 

Plus, MIX 3 5G has been completely out of MIUI 12.5 beta development process. All this means that the moderator’s comment might be true. [Source]

Update as of August 24: The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is now getting Android 10-based MIUI 12 upgrade bearing version number V12.0.1.0.QDGRUXM in Russia after the Chinese variant got the update a while ago.

Update as of August 3: The Mi 8 Lite is finally upgrading to MIUI 12 after waiting for a few months. The Chinese variant has intercepted MIUI 12 V12.0.1.0.QDTCNXM via OTA upgrade. 

Update as of September 12: After the Chinese variant got the MIUI 12 upgrade, the Russian variant of Mi 8 Lite is getting the update bearing version number V12.0.1.0.QDTRUXM via OTA. Check out the MIUI 12 Russia Stable ROM section above to download the firmware and flash it manually. 

Update as of September 21: The Global Mi 8 Lite is now getting MIUI 12 upgrade as we talk bearing version number V12.0.3.0.QDTMIXM via OTA.

Xiaomi Mi CC9e

Update as of October 26: Xiaomi Mi CC9e gets MIUI 12 bearing version number 12.0.3.0.QFMCNXM in China via OTA or you can click here to download the same. 

Update as of April 24: Based on the latest update, the Chinese Mi CC9e is now picking up Android 10-based beta update based on MIUI 12.5. This new update has version number 21.4.22 and it is rolling out for Chinese variant of CC9e. Here’s the link to download the firmware if you don’t want to wait for the OTA package. 

Xiaomi Mi Note 3

Update as of August 22: The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is getting MIUI 12 upgrade on its Chinese variant. It is based on Android 9.0 Pie which is its last upgrade from Nougat to Oreo to Pie. The update bears version number V12.0.1.0.PCHCNXM and it is rolling out via OTA. You can still go to our Chinese MIUI ROM section to download the same for your Mi Note 3.

Update as of September 21: The global variant of MI Note 3 is now getting MIUI 12 upgrade bearing version number V12.0.1.0.PCHMIXM based on Android 9.0 rolling out via OTA.

Xiaomi Mi Max 3

Update as of August 17: Alongside Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Explorer, the Mi Max 3 is also getting MIUI 12 update bearing software version number V12.0.1.0.QEDCNXM. It is up for Chinese users as of now. 

Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer

Update as of August 17: The Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer is now getting Android 10-based MIUI 12 bearing version number V12.0.1.0.QEHCNXM in the home country China. 

Update as of August 24: Xiaomi has released yet another MIUI 12 in China for its Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer edition that gives the phone a lot of new features and whatnot. The update carries version number V12.0.1.0.QEHCNXM and it is an airborne update but you can download the firmware for a manual installation.  

Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro

Update as of November 18: Good news for the Mi 8 Pro users in Russia as this variant is now getting Android 10-based MIUI 12 stable update bearing version number V12.0.1.0.QECRUXM that you can download here.

Xiaomi Mi 8 SE

Update as of September 2: The Mi 8 SE is now picking up MIUI 12 based on Android 10 and with version number 12.0.1.0.QEBCNXM in China. It is being rolled out with a tonne of bug fixes, optimizations and features. [Download]

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2

Update as of September 8: The Mi Mix 2 is finally getting its share of MIUI 12 update based on Android 9.0. The update has a software version number V12.0.1.0.PDECNXM and it is arriving as a stable OTA rollout. Users who want to pick it up before the OTA update arrives can check out the MIUI 12 China Stable ROM section for the OTA package. 

Update as of October 10: The Mi Mix 2 is now getting MIUI 12 upgrade on its global variant with version V12.0.1.0.PDEMIXM. It is rolling out via OTA which means users will have to wait for it to arrive on their units which could take a few hours to a few days. You can still download the OTA package and upgrade to the same. Tap here to download it. 

Xiaomi Mi 6X

Update as of January 15: According to the information available, the Xiaomi Mi 6X is now intercepting MIUI 12 version 12.0.1.0.PDCCNXM in China. It is based on Android 9.0 Pie.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8

Update as of July 29: As per the latest information available, the Redmi Note 8 in China, Global, Indonesia, Russia, and Europe are running on MIUI V12 iterations. Note that MIUI 12.5 on Note 8 is still unavailable. Download the latest firmware here.

Update as of October 8: Turns out MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition is now being rolled out on Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 in China as a stable beta update with version 12.5.2.0.RCOCNXM. You can tap here to download the same. 

Update as of October 23: The Redmi Note 8 is now picking up MIUI V12 with Android 11 as the base on its Indonesian variant. The incoming update bears version number V12.0.1.0.RCOIDXM.

Update as of November 15: The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 in India is picking up stable Android 11-based MIUI V12 with version number V12.0.1.0.RCOINXM so wait up for the update as it arrives via OTA.

Update as of November 25: The Redmi Note 8 in INdia is picking up Android 11-powered MIUI V12.0 as a part of Mi Pilot program in India. Note that only Mi Pilot testers are getting the update at the time of writing this. 

Update as of November 30: The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 in Indonesia is now picking up MIUI V12.5 at the time of writing this.

Update as of January 7: The Redmi Note 8 in India is now getting its hands on MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition with version number V12.5.1.0.RCOINXM. You can wait for the OTA update or tap here to download the same cia this link.

Update as of January 4: According to the latest update, the Redmi 8 is now rolling out Android 10-based MIUI 12 on a global ROM with MIUI V12.0.3.0.QCOMIXM. 

Update as of January 9: Based on the latest update, Redmi 8 is now intercepting MIUI 12 in Russia and Europe with version number V12.0.1.0.QCNRUXM and V12.0.1.0.QCNEUXM respectively.

Xiaomi Redmi 8T

Update as of July 29: As per the MIUI updates, the Redmi Note 8T is currently running on MIUI V12.0.x (its iterations) on Global, Russia, and Europe variants. Download the latest firmware here.

Update as of August 18: The Redmi Note 8T is picking up Android 11-powered MIUI V12.0.2.0.RCXEUXM at the time of writing this. 

Update as of October 25: The Redmi Note 8T is picking up MIUI V12.0.2.0.RCXMIXM weighing at 2.5GB in size and available here. 

Xiaomi Redmi 8A

Update as of January 8: According to the update, Redmi 8A is now getting MIUI 12 in China and Europe with version number V12.0.1.0.QCPCNXM and V12.0.1.0.QCPEUXM.

Update as of January 22: Both Russian and Global variants of Xiaomi Redmi 8A are now getting upgraded to Android 10-based MIUI 12 bearing version number V12.0.1.0.QCPMIXM (Global), and V12.0.1.0.QCPRUXM (Russian). 

Update as of January 26: The Redmi 8A is now picking up MIUI 12 bearing version number 12.0.1.0.QCPMIXM on its global variant. It is a stable update. 

Update as of January 27: The Redmi 8A is now picking up Android 10-flavored MIUI 12 bearing version number 12.0.1.0.QCPINXM available for downloads via OTA.

Update as of January 4: The Xiaomi Redmi 8A in Indonesia is picking up MIUI 12.5 upgrade with version number V12.5.1.0.QCPIDXM. You can wait for the OTA notification or simply click here to download it.

Xiaomi Redmi 8A Dual

Update as of August 6: According to the latest update, Redmi 8A Dual is now picking up V12.5.1.0.QCQINXM based on Android 10 in India at the time of writing this. 

Xiaomi Redmi Y3

Update as of November 16: Redmi Y3 might not receive MIUI V12.5 Enhanced Edition update according to a report.

Xiaomi Redmi 7

Update as of November 16: The device is unlikely to get MIUI V12.5 Enhanced Edition as per a report.

Xiaomi Redmi 7A

Update as of January 6: According to the latest update, Xiaomi Redmi 7A is now getting Android 10-based MIUI 12 with version number V12.0.2.0.QCMXNCM. 

Update as of November 16: Looks like Redmi 7A might not get MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition referencing an unofficial report.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro:

Update as of August 6: The Chinese Redmi 6 Pro (also known as A2 Lite in India) is getting a bump to MIUI 12 (based on Android 9) bearing software version number V12.0.1.0.PDICNXM.

Update as of January 4: The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is now getting MIUI 12 on its global version with version V12.0.2.0.PEIMIXM. 

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro

Update as of March 14: Based on the latest piece of information available, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is now up with MIUI 12 although it is in stable beta recovery stage and thus, with issues such as bootloops that needs to be ironed out. Xiaomi is trying to fix the issues and thus, the MIUI 12 build is available for a limited number of users only. The incoming update has MIUI 12.0.2.0.PEIMIXM version number and it is still based on Android 9.0.

Xiaomi Redmi S2:

Update as of August 6: The Redmi S2 in China is now getting MIUI 12 stable update brings software version number V12.0.4.0.PEFCNXM available via OTA or flash it here.

Update as of September 30: The MIUI 12 is now arriving on Redmi S2 on its global version bearing V12.0.2.0.PEFMIXM available via OTA update. 

Update as of October 22: the MIUi 12 bearing version number 12.0.2.0.PEFMIXM is now rolling out on Redmi S2 in India weighing at 616MB. [Source].

Update as of December 16: Based on the latest update posted by a channel on Telegram, the Xiaomi Redmi S2 or Y2 is now intercepting Android 10-based MIUI 12 bearing version number 12.0.1.0.PEFRUXM via OTA. [Source]

Note that the list above provided is for the Chinese variants of the Xiaomi phones, and it is not clear whether the above list will be the same for the Global models or not.
